Pitch Invaders Open - Reading, Berkshire - 31/05/25 & 01/06/25 - 7 TICKETS LEFT

Welcome one and all to the inaugural Pitch Invaders Open! This will be a 2-day event held at the Novotel hotel in central Reading, on the weekend of the 31st of May - 1st of June. This will be a NAF event (currently awaiting approval) so you must be a member of the NAF to attend. It may be possible to sign up on the day, please let us know if you would like to do that.

The entry fee is £29 which gets you 6 games of Blood Bowl and unlimited tea/coffee. Please send via Paypal. Note that we cannot provide refunds, but we will try our best to help you sell the ticket onto someone else if you cannot attend.

We will be running the event on TourPlay. Please register your team by 17th May to give us time to review and approve the rosters.

The following prizes will be up for grabs:

• Overall Winner

• Second Place

• Third Place

• Most CAS (everything that goes into the CAS box counts, even if it then gets better)

• Most TDs

• Stunty Cup (highest placing stunty team)

• Wooden Spoon (last place)

As well as 4 separate categories for Best Painted:

• Best Team

• Best Individual Miniature (non-big guy)

• Best Big Guy (any S5+ piece, including stars)

• Best Accessory (includes coaching staff, display bases, etc.)

Quick update:

We have over 1/3 of the spots gone in 24 hours, thanks everyone who's signed up!

I have spoken to the hotel, and they say they can offer a discount on rooms for attendees, but only if there is a a minimum number of bookings. If you would like to stay at the Novotel during the tournament, please let me know so I can get back to the hotel and see if I can get you a better deal. Rooms are currently £80 a night for that weekend, so it's not too bad.

Thank you! we have a few people interested now so I will get back in touch with the venue and see what we can do.

Unfortunately, we have just been informed that we will not be able to provide lunch for the event, as the venue will not allow external food and the price of their in-house catering is well over our budget. As a result, we will be reducing the entry fee to £29, and extending lunch by 20 minutes so everyone has time to eat (fortunately there is no shortage of food joints in central Reading!). I will shortly be refunding the difference to everyone who has already paid. If anyone would like a full refund due to this, please let me know and I will provide it, no questions asked. Massive apologies for the mistake, and we hope that it doesn't put you off attending!

Hotel rooms update: The rate they have offered for a twin/double room is £80. This is about a 10% discount on the current standard rate, but it is slightly more expensive than the "Member discount" you can get by signing up to their free loyalty programme via their website, so I would advise you do that instead.
