Got a great idea and/or proposal for BloodBowl?

The same situation could occur with these begin positions, or when blitzing like this. It could be a serious strengthening of the frenzy trait; something that is definitely useful, if not necessary, since Frenzy is getting close to being a nega-trait. I'm just not sure if it wouldn't be too powerful (and I'm not good at making up possibly beardy situations).

Gorbad wrote: ie. with sideswipe it would become _harder_ to push people off the field, as there are more eligible empty squares, so in sideline cases you just don't use the skill. So still not trait material :)
Do remember that you do not have to use the skill. After getting the bastard next to the sideline you can just say you're not using sideswipe and off he goes...

well,if you use frenzy and used sideswipe at the 1st block, you couldn't even use it again at the second! (ESOPA!)

I think this is a great idea, and should be added as a strength skill as proposed. There are not enough of them right now, and this one seems perfect both in power level (weaker than guard, mighty blow or pilling on, but still useful) and in the strategic aspect.

This skill suggestion has merit. As others said, it is not overpowering but has a great tactical value. I know my Norsemen would love to play ping pong with rival players. And, it should stay as a strengh skill. There's already sidestep for those with access to agility, and there's less choice in the Strengh list than in the Agility list.

I like this one, one of the first new skills i've seen that seems balanced, and as Zombie says we could do with a couple of extra strength skills.

Good work :D

Congratulations, Gorbad. You seem to have come up with a new skill that just about everyone likes! I wonder if we can get the BRCC to include it in the experimental/for review section?

Well... gosh, darnit, what can I say... I'd like to thank my family, my friends, my manager... ehm...

But seriously, it's nice to see that others also like it, more chance to actually get to do a bit more than just bash on strength teams :)

Wait a minute - run that by me again. There are other things to do besides bash people in this game?

Well, there's lots of things to do, for example, ehh, bashing 'em on your own, or with a friend, or while they are down, into the fans, even with mighty blow, while piling on, with your prehensile tail, during a frenzy, oh yeah, and that thing with the ball... where you run to one end of the pitch. But only gobbos and elves do that stuff

When I first saw this thread I thought the skill was horribly overpowered. Not so much from the perspective of the frenzy combo, but rather with respect to shifting people around in the other team. Consider that a couple of players with this skill could open up a cage/pocket with little difficulty , or make a hole on the LoS.

However, on reflection the same is true for agility teams with Side Step. It simply gives the strength teams the ability to shift the opposition for tactical gain without relying on needing to take them down and out (with Tackle or Mighty Blow for instance). If the agility teams can benefit (hugely) from Side Step, then the strength teams could also benefit from this. It will allow for playing for the ball without resorting to simply killing everything in the way.

Compared to skills of similar use (ie opening cages, LoS etc) like Guard it is not overpowered.

Well done Gorbad for a nice addition to the Strength skills list.

There's a ball that is supposed to be used in the game :o ? I've just used shrunken elven heads....silly me

This proposed skill is really interesting, and I would absolutely love to see how it worked in action. It would make for a very nice addition to strength skills. :smoking:

Stiff arm
This player has perfected this move, this shown by not having to pay the 1 ma penalty for a blitz action.
