Based on about 10 games of Ogre playtesting, go with roster #3 and tear that league apart. Make one of your Ogres a dedicated ball carrier (Sure Hands) and have the rest alternate between Piling On and Block. Pick up an apoth and more Ogres. Don't bother to replace Goblins until you've got the full 8 Ogres on the pitch and you're tearing everyone else's team apart.

If you're using the Ogre list from the BB Mag, and playing LRB, then none of those rosters are legal, as a team must have 11 players to start.

I would also opt for 3. The more movement you can field if necessary (throw teammate) the better

lol,
not really, the bummer is that its pretty much just me and about 8 staff... and thanks to u TBB i know the game 50times better than all of them... so mostly its they dont know u havr to have 11 players... and if i dont say something they wont know or care...

when i run the ball in first cupple games... should i try and get the TD's on my ogres? or just let the gobbos do it? i would like toi have a breaktackle/sure hands orge sometime... but would it be better to wait for this?

thanks alot

I think that if they don't know the ruling, you should be honest. Because one day they'll find out, and your team won't be valid anymore.

I don't know what the correct translation is, but there's a French proverb that says:

To vanquish without perils;
You die without Glory.

Wow Fred ... my thoughts exactly. If your league of 7 other guys agrees then fine ... but to add a team; delibrately change the rules without approval; and then play it .... uh .... in my world that's cheating ... sorry if that offends.

My team using the experimental rules in the BB Annual 2003

8 Goblins
3 Ogres
3 Rerolls
9 FF
20k Treasury

This assumes you have time to develop the team.

If you want to beat the crap out of folks:

6 Goblins
5 Ogres
1 Reroll
9 FF

If you take the roster option ... a good defense formation for the team to consider would be:

Code: Select all

.....O.O.O.....
.....G...G.....
.G..O.....O..G.
.G...........G.
