Got a great idea and/or proposal for BloodBowl?

A No time limit game

Post by littlemute »

After seeing rollerball last week I thought it might be cool to have a one off or league cap game with no time limit, no score max, that went on until one team couldn't field three players at the start of a drive. You would still play with halfs, just constant overtime until one team was left.

Thing is, who would win? If one team couldn't continue that would normally mean they lose, but then no agility team would ever play it, even if it was a one off game at the end of a season.

So why not have the score determine the win, but the team that's last on the pitch gets a free TD.

well most likely the dawrf team would win that style of game most often, or undead. those dwarves all having thick skull would really add up in a game like this.

incidentally, 2nd ed worked a lot like this. you played until either team got 3td, regardless of time. made for a real long game when dwarves and undead squared off...especially since undead regenerated immediately, and the dugouts were behind their end zones (meaning they came onto the field in good defensive position).

no thanks

I thought the dug outs were to one side of the pitch (right?). At least they were on my astrogranite one (the steps leading to the pitch).

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

Darkson, you are totally correct, they were on the sides of the pitch.
