Yes indeed, my original suggestion was not to remove the "must go 1st" completely, if you have a look again, you'll see that I proposed that as long as the WA is not beginning his move next to an opponent he is just normal (still cannot receive assists) but IF he's standing next to an opponent st the beginning of your turn he'll behave like in the current WA rules.

So, the opposing coach can still try to produce a turnover by moving his player next to your RO etc, but you have a little more freedom using your RO as a player when it's your turn and the RO is in open space.

Everyone (or at last many) people were talking of WA being too negative, I just wanted to tweak it without remocing the original notion of "must block" and the "probable turnover".

Yeah, I wasn't actually proposing removing the "must go first bit", I was just interested if anyone had tried it.

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

I'm just saying once a WA gets block he's not so risky, so adjust your 4-5 skills to 1 and we're fine! ;)

I do agree the negatrait is rather harsh as i've freelanced additional rookie RO's before and lost matchs because of them, however i think the sole intention of WA is to make the big guy a bashing player, the agility of 3 is a luxury i think and though it would be really cool i think the intention of the skill is to guarantee theyw eren't used for passing scoring, etc!

Having said that, WA's are a lot of trouble, i think though that if you keep the must gof irst and just do an apropriate dice roll when entering or starting in a tackle zone or alternatively evening up the other big guys!
Which is what has happened in the league i play, house rules are that NO big guys can have offensive assists, only defensive, thus everything is even i believe!
