Thanks for reminding me, I'd almost forgotten. I'd thought I'd moaned less since then... did anyone hear me complain when Ombi killed an elf during my first MBBL match of this season? (OK, my witch elf retaliated and killed the troll slayer as revenge... and both apothecaries failed  !)

I've no idea how my match against Asmodan will go... the handicap rolls will certain make it no cakewalk, but I certainly have far more skills than he does, and I've no idea how these Axme cards will pan out...

Not long now, the final is tied at 2-2 between Eternal Sleep and Love Conquers All. Its been thrown into Overtime when Jon played two cards in the last two turns to prevent me from wrapping it up, but luckily i've won the toss, have BH'd two of Jon's players in the first turn of OT, and got the ball.

Look again DW ... that Aurak isn't a spellcaster unless Kim cheated and changed his stats. So no fireballs should be coming your way this game unless you kill the Aurak.

Kim's team is sans spellcaster.

Ah..ok. I see. There's a split on the stat line which led to my reading it as fireball, rather than fireball death.
Ok, thanks.
Maybe I should have realised and looked into that whole Fireball Death thing before I booted him with my DP and 3 assists!
Could have been messy! :o

Oh man ... that would have qualifed for the "my balls are as big as peaches" category for the MBBL2 .... if you had realized it ...

Since you didn't know you could have mangled 4 of your own players with that foul ... kinda removes the foolhearty bravery from the act ... :D

One of the reasons I love the MBBL2 and will never quit running it no matter how troublesome the league is at times. .... the house rules allow for some very impressive displays of carnage.

My funniest moments in the MBBL2 invariably seem to be when I come across unfamiliar rules/races..I still haven't forgotten that indestructable leprachaun ally.. :o
You gotta laugh..this league is a lot of fun, if a little way out at times. :D

Which lead to the big change in Ally rules. But I know what you mean. There are many spots in the MBBL2 rule set that I'm waiting for someone to try in any of the leagues that use the rules set now that there are 5 of them.

I'm still waiting for someone to try an Unholy Araby team with Ball and Chain Dervishes that you convert into Mummies and Skeletons after they die. Fun team.

And yes, I agree DW ... its the mix of the rules that creates the fun moments. One of my favorite matches that I "watched" was your game against Beefcake's Swords of Chaos where four ST 8 player were laying waste to the pitch during one drive. Very fun to watch ... probably a little tense to be in that game ... but it very fun as spectator sport.

And after this season, I think with major changes to the Wild Cards, Evil Gits, Khemri, and Golem teams planned or already made that the ST bias of the league will come a little back to normal league type situations.

End of the 2nd turn, and the elementalists have 5 players on the pitch (that was a handy pitch invasion :D ), and they're spell caster has been hit with a magic card, giving him the ALLY skll, which turned over the ball to the Fimir when he failed the pass.

Unfortunately, I've only caused 1 injury (SI), so all the big players will be back next drive :(

3/4 in the first half and Martyns elves are leading 1-0.
My axme card have mostly worked.
My anvil did miss and my suicidal rocket skating rat could not manage to injure the elf he hit, but my rat with bed springs almost stopped him from scoring as he did a perfect leap next to his ball carrier.

I he had just blocked as well as he leapt everything would have been fine.
I rolled a skull and a pushback on the roll, so he could easily dodge away and score.

I almost scored last turn as my guard rat pulled out the good old rat-a-pult and threw himself over the elven defence and ran to the endzone
But again my other players failed as my thrower fumbled the ball :(
So far it have been only 1 casuality as Martyn SI my -1 AG linerat (he was cannonfodder anyway).

My 10 cards in the first half consisted mostly of the worst cards possible, but i still have some cards up my sleave to stop Martyn from scoring again if he tries.

PS. I will definetly try to get the "my balls are as big as peaches" award before the season ends.
I was thinking of something like dropping a boulder next time everybody are tied up in a huge fight :D

The score was 2-0 to the elves at halftime. I was pretty pleased that the first TD was with the rookie line-elf who "Gotta Be The Shoes", so that's at least 30k extra money at the end of the match.

BTW, Galak, is GottaBeTheShoes automated in anyway, or do I have to add this money in manually? (I presume manually, but don't want to give myself too much money... actually I do want to, but know that I'm not allowed to! )

At the start of the second half, Asmodan has caused a casualty... dunno quite what yet since I can't open the file while using the antiquated UNIX system that seems to grind to a halt more and more each day. I'm hoping it's nothing too serious!

Even an SI on that particular guy wouldn't be too bad - he'll only have one skill and isn't crucial to future matches. He's earned me 30k which means I've got 80k plus whatever I win at the end. Perhaps I'll be able to finally replace that spellcaster that Animal House killed the first time round?

Gotta Be the Shoes is NOT automated.

And congrats Martyn ... I think the best anyone had ever done with this card was an extra 10k.

However, keep in mind that your income potential isn't over. There is a still a 5% to 10% chance (Don't remember how many guys are on your team that played this game) that he'll get the MVP and drop an extra 50k in your lap during the post game.
