I said cave, not cage. Also, 2nd ed doesn't count. It's a totally different game altogether. You might as well have said that you've played stratego (or Starcraft, hey Toby?) for 10 years.

Doesn't count? Totally different? Don't agree. It is still very close to the 2nd edition. Okay, it is a lot faster and there are less people blocked. It is still very alike. Of course some rules and skills have changed a bit, but hey nothing major.

Okay, tell me, what is so different from the 2nd edition, that an "old player" could catch up in an hour or two?

I just began playing with 3 coaches who stopped in 2nd ed. They had more problems to adjust to assists, how to protect the ball carrier and cover opponents than newbies IMHO. And people coming from 2nd ed. tend to play much more defensive and passive as they exagerate the effects of a turnover. Not to mention that they never remember to do their bonehead/really stupid rolls.

Have you ever played this game? Have you been living in a cave for the last 10 years or so?

I'm not surprised that there are some problems with 2nd ed players. Most of our league players (7 out of 10) have played the 2nd edition, and I have noticed too, that we play a bit more defensive (not passive, though) play.

First turnovers felt like a disaster, but it took only couple of games to realize that turnovers happen quite often :D

But still, a very different game? Don't agree. Much better and much much more fun, yeah.

Cut some slack for a new forum posters in the future - please? Plenty of people posting here *are* new to Blood Bowl, or don't have every skill combo and interaction memorized. Not only are you not apologizing for rudeness, you're proud of it.

... and at the same time on another thread you were saying that this isn't the friendlist board you've ever been on.

Well, for your last remark, i was part of that other board, and it didn't keep it from being even frendlier than this one!

As for your main point. Well, if the guy is so new and clueless, he should read the forum until he gets a clue, and then start posting. I'm not responsible for his ignorance. Besides, the only person here who didn't take it well is you. He certainly didn't seem to have any problem with my reply!

This guy was not clueless, but coming back into the game. He did not take your remark as offensive, but I can easily point out those that have in the past. Why go out of your way to be a dick and call people clueless cavedewellers?

And am I the only one who didn't take it well, or was I the only one who said anything about it? I believe it's the latter, because most people (even moderators) have given up on hoping that you will someday develop manners/common sense.

First of all, I have been reading the forums for about 3-4 months and began to post quite recently. You seem to have a very black and white attitude. And secondly, I sure didn't like your attitude, Zombie, but decided to ignore it :( I try to cope with people, but with you it may be very difficult.

And you so smoothly passed my question, which makes the recent BB edition so totally different from the old ones and therefore me a clueless.

...cheers Skummy for your support :D

And now, lets drop this, please, and get back into the subject.

Ignore Zombie, his bark is worse then his bite. ;)

Back to combos:
Throw Team Mate + Pass
Shadowing + Tackle + Diving Tackle
Horns + Leap (or Frenzy, or Dauntless)
Claw + Razor Sharp Claw (duh!)
Stunty + Strip Ball

...the list goes on.
