Does freebooted starplayers count against teamrating ?

I am considering freebooting a starplayer for my next game, but it depends on the rules I guess. I have 90K so I can freeboot Hthark, but I am unsure as to how it will affect my teamrating ... which is correct ?

1. Teamrating unaffected (-9 for the money spent +9 for the price of freebooting Hthark)
2. Teamrating +9 (-9 for the money spent +18 for the normal price of Hthark)
3. Teamrating -9 (-9 for the money spent, no effect from the freebooted player)

Couldn't find anything specifically about this in the LRB. My hunch is that option 1 is the correct one ... eventhough I am hoping for option 3

iirc tr is calculated at the end of the match and you freeboot players at the start of the next game, so it makes no difference to your tr if you freeboot anyone

right ... technically we are not at the next game yet (money to spend) ... but I get the point that the teamrating is calculated prior to freebooting. Kind of obvious when you think about it ... maybe I should have done that

Already have 5 - won against the 2nd placed team last night spending only about half of them throughout the game. We're headed for the playoffs ... unfortunately I am a bit pressed now - I have a CD Blocker and Hobbo miss the next game - 2 other with niggling (BC & Dirty Hobbo) and only 13 players total. I'm probably going to get another Hobbo and then freeboot Hthark for the next game - that should see me through.
