Double 3 for a Wight

Post by Markus »

I rolled a double 3 for a wight as 2nd skill, his first roll was 11 so he's ag 4. I would have given him Mighty blow if he wasn't ag 4 without thinking. Now i'm tempted to give him dodge, maybe guard.

That's the team: http://fumbbl.com/FUMBBL.php?page=team&team_id=196140

What would you do?

Dodge, atleast, that's what I'd do, block dodge, Ag4, pretty darn good on undead/necro. Then you can train him into a nice blitzer with Tackle or Strip Ball.

I would go the dogde way also. Then you have an addional reroll for this guy. And you have a player that be a good safty. Next skill should be strip ball.

I'd take guard. You'll need it. And it combines well with AG4 because that way it's easier to get the guard where it's needed.

And as soon as the wight has guard, he won't be doing all the other stuff he needs to be doing. The problem with guard is that it relegates a player to giving assists and making the occasional block next turn. Useful on a mummy, zombie or other blocking player, but not so much on a unique player (for the team) like this wight.

I'm so jealous you have an AG:4 wight, I've never managed to get an AG increase with any of my undead teams. Just not happened :x

I have dreams of an AG:4 Blodging Wight. So my vote would be for Dodge.

Dodge ... works best with the +1 AG. :)

don't completely disregard leap either...your opponent will certainly not expect that midgame.

I'd go dodge myself. Having a bloger elf on a undead team seems very wrong to me.... very very wrong.

I´ve seen a Wight with AG4 and Pass in a Undead Team with 2 Ghouls (Block/Dodge/Catch), man they rocked like hell a Pass/Run - Undead Team is a horrer you shouldn´t play against trust me.

Yeah, good call. :) If Undead can develop a sound passing game, they become really scary. I remember back in 3rd ed, one opponent used to use Lord thingy as a quarterback ... unstoppable. :(

Leap should give your opponent a nice surprise too. With armour 8 and regen the risk of really damaging your player is less too! Although it is not as efefctive with only move 6....

If you go for a passing skill I would take accurate over pass. At higher TR most undead teams have rerolls coming out of their ears. You will most probably have a team reroll left when you try for that TD pass.

A pass with accurate and a team reroll has more chance of succeeding than a pass with no +1 and a skill reroll.

My Bulls have the "Thin Skull" trait. After every block they make, roll a D6. On a 1+ they get ko-ed and stay in the ko-box for the rest of the game.
