You should try to search first before you ask as there have had a lot of questions about orc teams the last month.
But just to be nice i have found someold threads about this, that i post here.
This one is about whats better to have of black orcs ors blitzers.

3 & 3 for he best. Too many BO makes orc team little too slow, and orc blitzers make nice ball carriers you'll need to .. ermm ... score! Make that 3 blitzers and a Thrower ... let those 3 BO at the line, they know how to handle!

So is it the general view that BOs should be taken earlier and Blitzers filled in ASAP? If so what should you do if you end up with a choice later on - eg a BO dies but you don't yet have 4 Blitzers. Should you replace the BO, or is another Blitzer more useful mid way through a league?the BOBs develop slowly so the earlier they are in the better.

It depends on your game plan. I wont always field 4 BOBs - especially if I've got a Troll/Ogre. If you don't have a Big Guy then getting all 4 BOBs on the team early will help in later development. In shorter leagues and tournaments I'd say blitzers are more useful.Mortalman wrote:If so what should you do if you end up with a choice later on - eg a BO dies but you don't yet have 4 Blitzers.
So I'd say that if you know you've got 10 games left to play a BOB is a better purchase, but 5 games left a blitzer is.
One of the things about Orc teams is that Blitzers tend to score all the TDs so you have to be careful about spreading the SPPs around a bit.

i know with orcs you can get away with starting with 11 players as you can deal a little damage out and absorb more with high orcish AV, but taking 2 gobbos in an 11 man team just to field 4 black orcs isn't the way to go. Deciding between black orcs or blitzers comes down to your style of play. but having 3 of each goes a long way to having great flexibility

I don't think I'd argue that Blitzers are the key players in an Orc team, you could say the same thing about a lot of races, but for team development purposes BOBs need the games more than Blitzers do - and starter teams have a tougher time against S4 than developed ones anyway.

True but many an early game is lost due to BO's ending turns prematurely due to rolling double skulls, double 'Block/skull' or 1 of each.
Blitzers give an orc team the speed it desperately needs.

I personally tend to believe that you don't need to concentrate your ST advantage in early games. I'd rather have the speed and block skill on my team and win some early matches. BOs can come in when they are needed to stand there and look pretty. er ugly, pretty ugly.
BOs do tend to develop slowly. Next time I play orcs I might look at starting a BO training program - force feeding them TDs.
