catcher, hands down.

as nice as a Tree may be, or another reroll, I would definately get a catcher.

they add more speed... the jump from 7 to 9 is incredible. If your opponent doesn't play deep defense, you can very easily get the ball, catcher and two protecting wardancers so deep that he can't stop you.

catcher also allows you to throw him the ball with tackle zone on him, then dodge away, all not eating up a TRR.

Finally, he allows you to threaten hangin' back throwers with the ball instantly and still linger just over the half way line, waiting to turn that turnover (forced by your WD) into a one turn TD.

a third TRR is great, but a catcher brings two rerolls every turn with him.

BTW, I´m enterning the semifinals in our small tournament and wonder what to buy for my 110k. This is my current team:

WD with SB and skill
WD with sidestep
Lineelf with Block, Dodge
2x Lineelf with Block
Lineelf with Guard
6x Linelf (one with niggling)

FF8 and 2RR. TR 143

Should I go for a Treeman, Catcher or Reroll. No players will miss next game. I get 200k for winning and 100k for 2:nd so a short term buy could be worth it. I like the current Treeman but not the coming on-pith take root.
That depends on whether you will be able to use your team next season or not. If not, I might be tempted to boot Jordell Freshbreeze if I were you. A rookie tree is definitely not useful for your upcoming play-offs, the main function of the tree is keeping lineelves alive in the long run.

tackle very good choice because your blitz will often be from a wardancer. better team development as pointed out by lots of bdlodge linemen not tackle till skill 4 or so.

But if like a uber player sidestep pretty mental. A friend I know has two stripball sidestep wardaancers on LOS in defence. has commoly score 6 defensive touchdowns by penetrating via blodge on turn 1. Can be very rude in a league without much tackle to counter

What else is in the legue? A bashy legue may not have the dodgers to make tackle worth it.

I will be able to use the team next season to. As I win 200k for first place and 100k for second (I find this a bit to much), I can go for a more short term investment but freebooting Jordell is maybe a bit to much. Also remeber this is just the semi.

As I got a fairly weak skaven team (unlucky with deaths in recent games) to play agains in the semi I will probably go for Tackle and and buying a Catcher. He got two Gutterrunners.

I will meet an Orc or Necromantic team in the final, probably the Necromantic. He got two Gouls and a Werewolf with dodge.

At the monent we got only six teams in the leauge (WE, Orc, Humans, Skaven, Amazons, Necromantic) but there will probably be more in the next season. By then I hopefully got an extra 100 or 200k to get a tree and/or a third reroll.

Thank you for the help and If you got any more advice, keep it coming! :)

I'd get the RR...
you have few player rerolls...
Yes i know the catcher carries to player rerolls, but that doesn't really help the rest of the team... and the movement is not going to be as important against skaven... they'll be able to catch you anywhere on the field anyway.

and as a bonus it'd drop your TR by 5 reducing the skavens handicap bonus.

take sidestep is a great skill for wardancers with ag4 when two people hit you and you get two pushbacks then you have scored itis a great skill

Give him sidestep because in my opinion it's a great skill.
And you still have strip ball to take the ball from the ball carrier.

Sidestep is a much better choice IMO as you already have Blodge. That combined with the ability to choose what direction you are pushed means that your player will rarely leave the pitch unless you take him off yourself.

A very nasty combination on any elf.
