8 sided block dice
Since the 8 sider is the only dice which HAS to be used for BB (scatter), and could easily be adapted for skill rolls, the only sticking point would be the block, so here gos -
1 Tripped on Bootlaces! the attacking player falls in his own square
2 Pushback
3 Pushback
4 Glancing blow, a player with dodge can move with it and is pushed back, others are knocked back and down
5 Stalemate Both players stand there, neither gaining the upper hand
6 Grapple, both players hang on to each other and danca a few steps. A playeer with the wrestle skill can still put his opponent down in their own square
7 Mutual destruction, only skilled players (those with block) remain standing, others fall on the spot.
8 Clean hit, the opponent is knocked back and down
This wil also reduce the effect of block (for better or worse) and dodge by adding more results where they don't help

Not bad I say.
Not bad. I'd feel better about it after seeing games played and played in it, but right now it does not appear offensive.
I do like the inclusion of the Vault skills directly into the dice. Does this mean wrestle will now not apply to the previous block skull result ( your number 7 now?)

Eagleflight makes an excellent point there. Odds of knocking someone down on a basic hit would go down a lot with the d8. Change the fundamentals too much all at once, and you've got a very different game.

As a skaven trainer, I like this idea !
Less people going down means more rats on the field.
As an orc trainer, I dislike it !
Less people going down means less VSA's and more opponents on the field.
My personal (objective?) opinion: This method would change balance too much. You've got to rework the whole game including many skills to make it work.
Another point: The d8 isn't the best die to make an actual 'roll', a dice shaker would be necessary.
