@Banelord

Sort of like the idea. One question left: When does it count as score? If it exactly hits the end zone or even if it goes long?

Regards,
Marcus

The ball has to move 7 fields towards the three "goal-fileds", (remember the GE-test for the direction!).

T= tribune/spectators
G= goal-field
O= normal field
X= ball

starting situation:

TTTTTTTTT
OOGGGOO
OOOOOOO
OOOOOOO
OOOOOOO
OOOOOOO
OOOOOOO
OOOXOOO

If D6+ST>=7 the ball flies over the G-fields, this is a field goal.

If D&+ST<7 (maybe 5) than this is the case:

TTTTTTTTT
OOGGGOO
OOOXOOO
OOOOOOO
OOOOOOO
OOOOOOO
OOOOOOO
OOOOOOO

The ball now scatter 3 times and has to move from a G-field to a T-field in order to count as field goal. If the ball stops on a G-field it is not a field goal.

But hey, houserule it like you want. :D

We needed it twice last play-offs and it worked fine for undeads. matchwinner was a mummie, two ghouls sucked!

We are going to try this, so not yet confirmed if it works well:

Flip coin - winner says if they want to kick or receive. 4 turns to make a TD.

If there is a TD, the receiver team wins.
If there is no TD, the kicking team wins.

I play overtime, 1x8 turns, no golden goal, team with more TD thereafter is match winner. If it's still tied then, let's go to the revenge ! 8) [/quote]

We are kicking just for penalties after turn 8 d6+#RR higher wins, reroll if draw (no overtime).

In league matches we just stop at full time and if its a draw its a draw.

In tournament games we play a 3rd half of 8 turns with no replacement RR's and a golden goal ends the game. Roll off to see who kicks and who recieves.

redfang is lying .. :wink:

in league matches a draw stands.

in a cup (knockout) match we'll add 2 halves of four turns to the match, where the second half of this 'overtime' will continue if the score is still tied ..

NO golden goal

I like Ian's suggestion and wanted to suggest almost the same; everything is started as for a normal half, but the Kick-Off table result is treated as a Blitz!...

zombie also preaches that .. only blitz has been toned down quite a bit ..

it's at least a more simple and elegant solution, we might adapt to that for bubble ...

I think that would be a great idea, as their are some teams that really struggle to score in less than 5 turns (Dwarfs especially)

That's true...

They should have a good chance in that drive...

Same as us. And Rerolls DON'T regenrate for OT. If you got 'em at the end of regulation, you can use 'em. If not, tough titties!

Erm... Most interresting question, even if it shows the extend of my ignorance ..."GE" being what ??

Appart from that your rule seems fun! A nice mix between luck and players (not coaches) ability, and way more interresting than our dice rolls where "the coach who rolls highest wins", which is in use at our tourneys.
