My favorite right now is my wardancer named T-Diddy:

9 4 4 7 Block, Dodge, Leap, catch, pass block, tackle, sure hands +ST +MA

Today he scored his number 33 T-Diddy! and has 138 SPP
Gotta love him!

AG 4
AV 9 (Magic Helmet)

Skills: Block, Dodge, Tackle, Regenerate

Now THAT was a ballplayer!

Well there is no contest. The ultimate player of all time respected more than any other....

Pudgy Baconbreath.

Not of course because he was actually any good at BB... he was useless.

But the way he looked. All upright, either through arrogance or sheer terror, I'm not sure.

I thought he "looked" the best player of all time..... so maybe that doesn't count.

Valen Swift (the second)

I developed a Pheonix Warrior who had:-

MA - 6
ST - 3
AG - 5
AV - 9 (Magic Helmet)

Pass, Accurate, Sure Hands, Strong Arm, Block.

Throwing a Long Bomb on a 2+ kick's a**e  , although it leaves your opponent feeling :puke: and :pissed: .

Why do I remember hearing about him on the bbowl-l mailing list quite a few times

I could be wrong, of course, after all these years, but somehow the stats and the name seemed familiar...

Must say that I have had quite a few excelent players but my memory remains in my human catcher Ian Rice back in 3ed:

10 2 4 8 - Catch, Dodge, (Magic Helmet), +2 movement, +1 agility, Sprint, Sure Feet.

Ian was the kind of player that came out of the field clean, no mud, no blood! I really can't remember how many times he scored. I just can't seem to forget the Chaos Cup Final against a friend of mine, I kicked, I rolled the Blitz! on the kickoff table, and I scored. The game hadn't started and I was allready winning 1-0. In the end he scored three times, got injured and I won 4-0. Memorable!

Wormhowl Greyscar (not the original)

Beastman - Slaaneshi All-Stars
6-3-3-8 Block, Mighty Blow, Horns and Claw.

He was a casualty scoring machine, and he romped home a few TD's here and there as well.

My favorite player?

... It would have to be my regular Orc lineman, who then gained +1 AG and Dodge. He changed his name to Elf Poser and has happily been prancing around the field ever since.

2 possibilities, though none of them have more than a few new skills:

My blodging black orc, Bollocks Beamish, who managed to pull off an interception on at least one occasion,

and a Half-Orc blitzer named Zorak Skullsplitter - 6 3 2 8 Sure Hands, Block, Tackle, Guard, Mighty Blow - one of the best players ever to be in a big old ruck.

Currently the favorite player of my dwarven team after 13 matches:

Arr "Butterbeard" Moronson - Runner
MA 7
ST 3
AG 4
AV 8

Thick Skull, Sure Hands, Block, Shadowing

I really was lucky when rolling for skills. +1 AG _and_ +1 MV is probably the best you can get for a dwarven team :)

Unless they're rolled for the longbeard...

don't get me wrong... a MA5AG3 player with B,T,TS is great, but he'd be better off with Guard+MB, or even better with two doubles rolled instead.

Would have to be Tasha, my Witch Elf from a 3rd ed league a few years back:

MV 7
ST 4
AG 5
AV 8 (Magic Helmet)
Skills: Block, Dodge, Jump Up, Frenzy, Diving Tackle (old school). She was on her way to getting leap, but never quite got there.
