Frenzy is a nice choice. He would be able to let anything but a big guy fear the sidelines... IMO the only other alternative is Jump Up, but on such a player I would go for Frenzy indeed.

What do you use him for? And what does the rest of the team look like?

I'd say Frenzy is dicey simply because if you're not careful, you'll hang him out to dry with his AV7 after a double block and follow up finds you in the middle of a crowd.

You might consider Mighty Blow, turning him into a third viable blitzing option next to your Dragon Warriors. MA 9 is pretty impressive. Let him hit isolated or important players on the the other team before they have a chance to go very far. Tackle should come after that, assuming he gets that far.

I'd get him mighty blow, if you don't have at least two other players with that skill.

Besides, frenzy on a high elf feels so out of character.

Agreed. Jump Up might also be worthwhile, but chances are that if he's ever on the ground, he's going to get fouled, so it might be a waste.

How about Dodge? You waste the double but a MA9 ST4 player with Blodge is still great. Otherwise I would go for Mighty Blow.

Nerves of Steel? Gives you a receiver who can either Blitz and/or Dodge his way to the endzone.

I'm with Nazgit on this one. NOS is such a special skill when applied right.

Frenzy or NoS. Why on earth someone would suggest you give MB to a *catcher* is beyond me... Frenzy will get him those "blitz away and score" touchdowns easier, especially with Block and ST4 already. But NoS is NEVER a bad decision on a catcher. Even if you're double-marked on the other half of the pitch, you have AG4 catch a pass on a 2+, dodge away (even if it's away from the endzone) and with your MA9 likely still be able to trot in an easy score. In my eyes the decision just lies between those two skills, depending on your play style

Dodge or NoS. But with the luck of rolling a double I'd go for the NoS.

I perfer Dodge. With that stat line, you know he's gonna be a hunted Elf. Any player with Blodge is just ugly!!

I'd also take NoS. Look at the Pro Elf Catchers. It's what makes them so effective. You have to blitz this guy, otherwise he'll catch the pass and off he is.
