double 5 on black orc
I rolled a double 5 for my black orc, and extra movement to me seems like a waste for him.
here is my team
blitzer---block, guard
blitzer----block, guard
blitzer----block guard
blitzer----block, dodge
bob-------block
bob-------block
bob-------DOUBLE 5
bob--------nothing
thrower------strong arm, pass, sh
thrower----pass sh
goblin------side step,dodge
goblin-------ag 4,dodge
line-orc-------nothing
troll--------NEW SKILL
playing pbbl rules, thinking about maybe Juggernaut for the troll, but risking my blitz for the turn, or maybe guard..........Black Orc I am thinking about taking Jump up or frenzy...........any thoughts????

You guys do know that Stand Firm is hugely nerfed in 5.0 (PBBL) right?
So it's certainly not worth sacrificing a doubles for these days. But it is good in combination with Guard.Stand Firm (Strength)
A player with this skill may choose to not be pushed back as the result of
a block. He may choose to ignore being pushed by ‘Pushed’ results, and
to have 'Knock-down' results knock the player down in the square where
he started. If a player is pushed back into a player with using Stand Firm
then neither player moves.

depending on your rerolls, I would take Leader. ST 4 and AV 9 means he won't be taken off the pitch a lot. Otherwise, I would take the AV. Throw him in front of opposing teams most dangerous guys (unless he has claw).
Don't agree with jump up, as black orcs don't fall down a lot and it requires a 3+.
I also don't think dodge is that bad either.

A agree with the not wasting your blitz on the troll mentality. You have enough reliable str to bltiz with. Gaurd would be my first choice. Standfirm is after that.
On doubles I'd give the bob dodge or jumpup as everyone else is suggesting.
Fen - I still think standfirm is a great second skill choice on someone with gaurd as long as they have block. Standfirm + str4 is a great combo.

I agree, I have several Block, Guard, Stand Firm players. they're very good. But it's not worth wasting a doubles to get Stand Firm imo.Urb wrote:Fen - I still think standfirm is a great second skill choice on someone with gaurd as long as they have block. Standfirm + str4 is a great combo.
In this situation though I wouldn't want to miss the chance of making a Block, MB, Po, Tackle, Jump Up Black Orc.

Good call. Jumpup would be great with MB, PO if the league runs that long. Is PO really that good with MB? I've been rather angry in my last league due to the sheer quanity of bad rolls so I made a few claw/mb beasts to be bitter and I'm thinking PO should be thier 3rd skill.fen wrote:In this situation though I wouldn't want to miss the chance of making a Block, MB, Po, Tackle, Jump Up Black Orc.
