Double on CD for second skill
One of my chaos dwarves just got a double, and already has guard!
The first thing I thought of was claw, but after thinking about it, im not too sure. I am running the only majority av9 team in the league... with some humans, DEs, and khemri the only non av7(or lower). So I think claw is a waste.
Sidestep looks pretty slick, since I already have guard. Unfortuinitly, I've never taken side step before, so I really don't know how effective it would be.
Dodge is always an option, but side step seems like it could be better.
I've also seen suggestions in other threads for diving tackle, which could be nice vs elves, but again, it's not something I've ever used.
Any thoughts are much apprieciated!

I wouldn't get leader on a CD although I can see the benefit of doing so as a CD is a player likely to stay on the pitch long enough to use it.
With gaurd I'd be inclined to get Stand firm even though it doesn't take advantage of the double rolled. If you want to make the most of hte double I would consider Dodge (a blodging CD in defence is a great thing although you are only geting half value for your dodge skill), side step or Jump up. With high AV Jump up is really annoying for your opponent allowing you to stand and block and on a CD with Block and guard I can see that being a real pain in the side for them.

I deffinitly don't plan to go leader, as if I can't play with 3 RRs(I have 3), I don't think I should be playing
(I actually won the 07 Arisia Bowl with no RRs!)
Jump up requires an AG roll to make the block after standing, and with ag2, it wouldn't be consistent enough to be worth it IMO.

And don't discount Claws too quickly as the diference between AV8 and AV7 (which is what claws basicly level everyone to) is about a 50% better break armour chance.
May not make a big difference or even be used everygame but when it does it can make a huge differnece. And don't forget, even gobos and 'flings have trolls/treemen, etc. One player with claws, if nothing else, can make your opponent re-access how they use these players and how they set up.

I'm with falconeyed, take the claws.
I'm building all my CDs to have guard and mighty blow and from there I am hoping for a few nice doubles so I can get claws. The first part is working out pretty well, but so far the only doubles have fallen on the Centaurs and the Mino (not that a pair of blodging centaurs and a Mino with block is anything to sneeze at).
