I'll be playing in a TV 100 progression tournament, of 6+ games, and plan on taking a Human team. The team coach chooses who the MVP is allocated to, so you can quickly skill up a few players in a few games.
My question is this: to Ogre, or not to Ogre?
If not taking an Ogre, my roster will likely be as follows:
- 4 x Blitzers;
1 x Thrower;
2 x Catchers;
5 x Linemen;
2 x RRs;
1 x Apothecary;
30,000 banked.
The banked 30,000 will be useful as, with average winnings, I will be able to purchase a replacement player, if necessary, or perhaps an additional positional.
That said, however, there is something about fielding a Big Guy at the outset.

I can almost guarantee him getting a skill after game one, with five points from the MVP and needing only a single additional point to skill up.
So, with a Big Guy, I think I have the following choices for rosters:
- 4 x Blitzers;
2 x Throwers;
4 x Linemen;
1 x Ogre;
2 x RRs;
1 x Apothecary;
10,000 banked.
or
- 2 x Blitzers;
2 x Throwers;
2 x Catchers;
5 x Linemen;
1 x Ogre;
2 x RRs;
1 x Apothecary;
0 banked;
(I think the Apothecary is even more valuable when you have a 140,000 value player on your team...)
What do people think? Which roster would you prefer, or would you propose another? Whichever the case, what is your reasoning behind your roster?
Cheers,
Nestyr
