Norse Blitzers and Diving Tackle

Post by Darkson »

On a double for a Norse Blitzer would anyone recommend this skill?

I'm starting to like the idea of 2 of the 4 havng it.

I'm not sure why you would want to give it to a blitzer over a regular lineman. The blitzer has Jump Up, but if the DT works, your opponent will be down. If it doesn't work, you can stand up and follow, but usually dodge players have pretty good movement and you would be chasing from behind. On top of this, you want to give a DT'er tackle, and not taking strength skills on your blitzers could be a problem. Dodge or Dauntless would be my first two choices on a blitzer for doubles.

I can't see much argument for anything other than stand firm myself. It makes those frenzied blocks to the side line safe.

Dauntless or Dodge are definately worth taking if you've already got 1/2 blitzers with SF, and maybe worth taking anyway.

Yeah, i'd take diving tackle. It will increase his casualty rate because people won't be able to get away from him, so he'll be getting more blocks. In fact, i'm considering giving it to my troll on a double! Nasty block, piling on, mighty blow machine you can't get away from!

Edit: You're right Ian, stand firm is too good to pass up. I forgot about that one!
